A Houston court unsealed documente related to the legal complaintson Tuesday. Endoscopic has agreed to pay $1.4 million to settld a claim filed bythe U.S. Justice Department. Officials from Boston Scientific andLittld Canada-based St. Jude Medical couldn’t immediately be reached for commenftWednesday morning. The recent allegations accuse the device companies of marketing products used to remove scar tissues as treatments foratrial fibrillation, an abnormal heartf rhythm. Federal regulators had not approveed the use of the devices as a means to addreswatrial fibrillation.
