Cosmopolitan wins VIBE Award - Sacramento Business Journal:

The award is Visionary Icons in Building Excellence and can be awardexd tolocal leaders, developers, a project, event or initiative that supports the Partnership’w goals of making downtown Sacramentko more vibrant. The Cosmopolitan Cabaret was developeed by out of a former concretesdepartment store. The building houses the Cosmopolitan Cabaret operatedsby , the Cosm o Cafe restaurant operated by , Sociapl nightclub operated by Paragary and Bob Simpsonh and there is also office space and undergrounrd parking. The project was one of 13 nominater forthe award.
“The cornetr of 10th & K streets has been a long-standintg development priorityfor downtown,” said Michaell Ault, executive director of the Downtown Sacramento “The Cosmopolitan is a great addition to the It serves as a vibrant anchor and generateas energy that compliments nearby businesses like the and Citizemn hotel.” The nominees this year included: U.S. Bank 9 0n F, Amgen Tour of The Citizen hotel, Fix I-5 Globe Mills, iLofts in Old the city of Sacramento’s Matrix Program, Crest Theatre generakl managerSid Garcia-Heberger, developer Sotirise Kolokotronis, Sutter Brownstowns, and the Orleans project in Old Sacramentk Last year, the Downtown VIBE Award was presented to developer Mike Heller for his developmenty of downtown properties, including the Retrolodge, MAARe building, East End Lofts and O1 Lofts.
The award will be presentec at the 11th annual State ofDowntown Breakfast, Jan. 22 at the Memoria Auditorium.
